ECO Firestarters started in 2018 as a 2nd grade science fair project.  We collected most of the the spent grounds at home & our local coffee shop supplied the rest.

We decided on a round shape by accident, but they came out looking really cute and we called them fire bombs! 

​

Once the science fair was over we were left with a stockpile of bombs that we gave away to friends and family. And guess what - they were awesome - and people loved them.

 

Now we make them as a family

(but the kids do most of the work)

They hand-make each firestarter, shred the packing paper, stamp the bag, place the sticker and package them!

We're reducing waste in our tiny town, and teaching our kids that they can

accomplish anything.
